How I Use AI to Scale Ecommerce Brands to $10M+
Published about 1 month ago • 6 min read
I'm Jim,
I’m a proud husband, a dad to two girls, and a multi-company founder.
After 15 years of building and breaking things, I’ve learned one truth:
Big wins don’t come from working harder. They come from better leverage.
Every Thursday, I’ll share a quick hit or two to help you scale smarter, not sweatier and finally build a business that prints cash and buys back your time.

Most ecommerce brands are using AI completely the wrong way.
They hear about a new tool, get excited, and try to shove it into their workflow without ever figuring out what's actually blocking their revenue in the first place.
So they end up with a dozen AI subscriptions, a slightly faster content process, and the same revenue plateau they had six months ago.
Here's the question most brands are asking: "Where can I save time with AI?"
Here's the question that actually grows your business: "What would unlock the next $1M in revenue?"
When we made that shift at GrowthHit, everything changed. We used it to take our own brand, Neat, from $9k a month to over $114k a month in under a year. And we've helped dozens of other ecommerce brands scale past 7 and 8 figures using the same approach.
So I just recorded a video breaking down the exact AI strategy behind all of it.
In this video, I reveal:
Why most brands are optimizing the wrong things with AI
How we used AI to build an SEO engine that now drives 20% of total site traffic for free
The creative system that let us scale ad spend from $100/day to $1,000/day without burning out winning ads
How AI replaced the equivalent of 3 full-time hires
The exact AI stack we use and how each tool feeds into the next
When we acquired Neat™ at the end of 2023, we had no idea how much we’d learn. In 12 months, we’ve grown it from $9K/ mo to $114K/ mo - all while building in public and sharing the highs, lows, and lessons with you in real time.
This week at Neat ....
Do you have product-channel fit?
Your core offer might be great.
But, does it work on your paid channel?
At Neat™, bundles work.
→ AOV went from $50 to $112
→ CAC is ~$50
→ Profitable!
But bundles don't consistently scale on Meta. Too much friction for cold traffic.
The insight: Your first purchase offer needs product-channel fit.
What we're testing: BOGO: $50 for 2 shirts
Goal:
→ Cut CAC from $50 to $25
→ Make up margin on post-purchase upsell
→ Push 30-day LTV from $112 to $180
The goal is to give a no brainer first purchase. Lower CAC. Raise LTV. Scale unlocked.
The tool making it possible is Claude Co-work - (if you've not heard of it by now) it's an AI that connects across your entire stack and actually does the work. Not "here's what you should do." More like "I already did it, here's what I found."
This is how we put it into action at GrowthHit. Maybe it’ll inspire your next move.
1/ We stopped switching tabs to build Klaviyo flows.
We design the full campaign inside Claude - logic, copy, sequence - and it builds directly in Klaviyo. No manual setup. No back and forth. What used to take days now takes an hour tops.
2/ Our designers stopped starting from scratch.
We generate structured wireframe briefs inside Claude before a single pixel gets moved in Figma. Our design lead said it cut early stage design time nearly in half. Less guessing. More making.
3 / We built an AI project manager that catches what falls through the cracks.
It monitors Slack and Asana, summarizes meetings from Read.ai, and flags stalled tasks before they become client fires. We didn't hire anyone. We just stopped losing things.
4/ We let our customer reviews rewrite our CRO roadmap.
We pulled thousands of reviews from Google, Trustpilot, and Amazon. In minutes it surfaced the exact objections, emotional triggers, and buying language real customers use. That now drives what we test, what we fix, and what goes in our ad copy.
5/ We ran a price test that changed a client's entire offer strategy. Most price testing requires a dev, a ticket, and two weeks of waiting. We skipped all of it. Our head of AI Craig built a custom Shopify tool using Claude that dynamically loaded different price points on the same product page - same ads, different prices, no dev team needed. The lowest price won by a wide margin. Not by a little. Enough that the client completely rethought their entire offer structure. One test. One day.
This is a snapshot of what we’ve been building over the past two weeks. We’re in it every day and pushing to do more. We’ll keep you posted.
The thing with AI nowadays is - the teams using it to write faster are getting marginal gains. The teams using it to remove entire layers of execution are playing a different game.
When execution gets lighter, strategy gets heavier. Your team stops firefighting and starts thinking - about positioning, about what to test next, about the judgment calls no AI can make for you.
The companies that win the next five years won't be the ones using AI the most.
They'll be the ones using it to think bigger, not just move faster.
Are you using AI to execute or to think? You can reply to us on this thread and we'll see it :)
P.S. Whenever you’re ready, here are 3 ways we can help you get more attention, engagement, and conversion so that you can grow your business:
1/ Free Conversion Audit: How many sales are you losing every day?
Most sites have a leak - and it’s not small. We’ll do a free Conversion Rate Optimization audit to show you exactly where potential customers are dropping off and how much money you’re leaving on the table. (Spoiler: It’s more than you think.)
2/ Ready to Scale? Let’s find out - with $0 in ad spend
We’re picking 5 companies to run Meta ads for free for 30 days. No catch. We want to test if your offer is built to scale profitably.
👉 Think you’ve got the product? Reply with “Scale me” and tell us about your company.
3/ What’s blocking your growth? Let’s figure it out together
